A program to induce traffic awareness among students was conducted on 20th July 2022.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION

 Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud in association with Department of Physical Education has celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, 2022, at 1:35 P.M in assembly hall. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Santhosh Kumar, principal in charge and IQAC coordinator. Dr. Rani K.V. Assistant professor, S N Training college, Nedunganda, Trivandrum was the resource person.

 The session was very interesting. She gave a brief description on the necessity of practicing yoga and also added its advantage to humanity. She also taught us a few asanas and made us do it.

 The session threw light on the usefulness of practicing meditation for a peaceful life.

 The theme of this year is "Yoga for Humanity".

EXPERT TALK ON CHILD RIGHTS AND EDUCATION

 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Govt. College of Teacher Education, Thycaud has organized an Expert talk on Childs Rights and Education on 8 June 2022. Sri. Reni Antony, member; Kerala state commission for protection of child rights was the resource person,

 The session made us aware of the rights of children and the punishments if the same are denied. The program was a great success

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION JUNE - 5

Govt. College of Teacher Education, Thycaud has celebrated the World Environment Day on 7th June 2022. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Santhosh Kumar, principal in charge. The theme of this year is "ONLY ONE EARTH".

   The program was organized by Eco club and saplings were distributed for the students. On behalf of eco club we planted few saplings in the college campus. A few programs on the theme related to nature were also conducted by B.Ed. and M.Ed. students which included recitation, group song etc.

CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION - 2021

 Govt. college of Teacher Education, Thycaud has celebrated the Christmas on 22 December 2021. B.Ed. and M.Ed. students actively participated in the celebration. The function was inaugurated by Rev.Blysu Varghese, Superintendent, Marthoma Vayojana Mandiram, Kattakada. He gave away the Christmas message.

    Various cultural programs were organized by the students; dance performance, carol songs etc.

SCHOOL INDUCTION PROGRAMME

 As part of B.Ed. course we had 5 days school visit. By following the curriculum I and my friends visited Govt. Tamil HSS, Chalai. 

Our school visit duration was from 19/01/2022 to 24/01/2022. It has helped to gain an idea about the day to day functioning of the school and to familiarize  with the academics and the extra curricular activities in the school.

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY

 Mathematics department has organized a quiz competition on behalf of National Mathematics Day on 22 December 2021. B.Ed. and M.Ed. students from various optional subject participated in the quiz competition. Abhirami M.R. of 1st year B.Ed, Commerce optional got the first prize and Abirami B of 1st year B.Ed, Physical science optional got the second price.

 Govt. College of Teacher Education, Thycaud in collaboration with IQAC has organized a workshop on Blog creation for 1st year B.Ed. students on 3 May 2022 @ 11:00 A.M via goggle meet. Dr. K.S. Sajan, Assistant professor NSS Training college, Ottapalam was the resource person. It was an informative session and helped us to clarify all our doubts regarding the blog creation.
